Ordlek access terms

Updated 17 September 2026

Ordlek is in early access and is still being developed. These pages describe the game, purchases and your rights.

The game and its creator

Ordlek is a browser-based Norwegian vocabulary discovery game created and operated by Martin Mastermo Jensen in Norway through Norwegian.app. Contact: martin@norwegian.app.

Early access and the free demo

The free demo allows 25 distinct successful combinations. Repeated known combinations and unsuccessful attempts do not consume that allowance. Server-side safety limits also apply to attempts that need AI work.

Early access means the game is still being developed. Features, artwork and word content may change. An internet connection and a supported modern browser are required.

What the one-time purchase includes

The early-access price is 129 NOK, including applicable tax, paid once. It unlocks Ordlek beyond the demo allowance, with regular updates and access to your collection across devices when signed into the same account, while the service operates. It is not a subscription and does not include other paid Norwegian.app products.

Polar acts as merchant of record and authorized reseller for checkout and payments. The final offer is shown before purchase. Polar’s Buyer Terms also apply to its checkout and reseller services.

Generation limits and availability

The purchase does not include unlimited AI generation. New combinations, pictures, audio, translations and correction suggestions share daily usage and spending safeguards. Current generation limits include up to 100 uncached combination evaluations per player per day, with additional per-player and shared cost limits that can pause new generation sooner. These are ceilings, not a guaranteed daily allocation.

When new generation pauses, already-generated words, recipes and media remain usable while the service is available. The game is an online service; a one-time price is not a promise of perpetual hosting or an offline download.

Responsible use and content

Use the game for your own learning and play. Do not bypass its limits, automate abusive requests, interfere with other players or try to access their accounts. Access or generation may be restricted to address abuse and security issues.

Some content is AI-generated and may contain mistakes. You can report inaccurate words, examples, pictures or pronunciation for review. Ordlek supports vocabulary exploration; it does not guarantee learning outcomes, exam results or fluency.

Support and refunds

Request a full refund within 72 hours of purchase, with no explanation needed, by emailing Martin. The deadline is for sending the request. If we permanently end Ordlek, we will arrange full refunds for purchases completed in the preceding 30 days without requiring a request. Outside these commitments, we do not offer voluntary change-of-mind refunds. Statutory consumer rights and Polar’s refund authority still apply. See the refund information for the process and what a refund changes. These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer law.
